You already know of three types of angle: the Right Angle, the Straight Angle, and the Complete Turn. You should also know how many degrees there are in each angle. If you can't remember, see the picture. | ||||||||
| There are words to describe angles that
are between these special angles.
An acute angle is smaller than a right angle. In other words it is smaller then 90 degrees. An obtuse angle is bigger than a right angle, but smaller than a straight angle. It is bigger than 90 degrees, but smaller than 180 degrees. A reflex angle is bigger than a straight angle (180 degrees), but smaller than a complete turn (360 degrees). |
