Angles in triangles:

When you chop a quadrilateral in half, from corner to corner, you get two triangles!!
You know that the angles in a quadrilateral add up to 360º. As a triangle is like half a quadrilateral, the angles inside a triangle must add up to 180º.
You know of three types of triangle:

Equilateral triangles have 3 equal sides. They must also have 3 equal angles. So each angle is 180 ÷ 3 = 60º.

Isosceles triangles have two equal sides, so they have two equal angles at the base.

Scalene triangles have no equal sides. All their angles are also different.
